This year started with the renaming of S&L Access Systems. The company is the same, but from now on we go under the name Skyrex. A combination of the word sky and the latin word for ruler, the name alludes to our ambitions and where we operate and the fact that no other player reaches as high.

Higher
and heavier.
We have developed a unique technology to build wind turbines and they can now be made taller and more powerful than anyone thought possible. The crane is erected gradually in segments from the bottom up, while it clings to the tower being built. This means that the crane is scalable and can lift both higher and heavier in a much shorter time, while substantially reducing cost and environmental impact.

The concept involves a completely new type of crane that makes it possible to reach hub heights of more than 200 meters, while lifting as much as 150 tonnes. What is more, the installation process is so much smoother and quicker. Being less sensitive to wind, our method also increases safety and keeps the operation going despite harsh weather.
Unique technology.
The Skyrex lifting solution is a patented innovation that introduces a completely new way of thinking around wind turbine installation. For effective maintenance and upgrading, the concept is modular. It also features a new top section to further reduce the weight of the crane, made of high strength steel. Using a base frame with jack-up press, the crane is quickly built in segments from the bottom up, while clinging to the tower during the installation.
